The nautical theme in womenswear seems to resurface every year. A person can only see so many interpretations of sailor pants and striped boat neck tops before reinvention ceases to satisfy and a supposedly "new" trend seems stale. However, once in a blue moon I come across something that doesn't make me seasick.
This tiny anchor is the perfect dose of sea-faring chic. Alex & Chloe oxidized necklace, $77 @ Maneater Threads.
For something a little funkier, try this Thea Grant creation. See website for info.
A lovely dress from the aptly named Sea, $151.50 @ Le Train Bleu.
A charming number from Jenny Han. Silk sailor dress, $120 @ Maneater Threads.
Another good reason to shop Maneater Threads is that 5% of their sales go to a different nonprofit group each month. This month's organization is the American Refugee Committee, which provides humanitarian aid (incl. shelter, health care, microcredit education, and skills training) to help refugees get on their feet.
