The revival of fluorescent hues in the past couple of years has had me all excited. They aren't the garish neon colors you and Will Smith rocked in the late 80's/early 90's (well, I didn't, as my mother refused to allow them, on grounds that they were unbearably hideous - mothers are wise like that) while chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool and shootin' some bball outside of the school. The new day-glo shades aren't gender-specific and pack all the same fun and excitement as their predecessors, but are a bit easier on the eyes. If you like this trend but aren't willing to commit to a serious relationship with it, try it in small doses. A wallet might be the way to go, as you only see it when you want to.
Magic wallets are the best. I like that this unisex style has a pocket to hold a bit of change. White leather magic wallet by Bless, $189 @ Oak.
Brooklyn-based Maxx and Unicorn makes hot wallets and passport covers in fluo colors. Wallet, $85 @ Oak. Also available in red and an electrifying blue.
Passport holder. Alas, the amazing blue is out of stock . . .
. . . but bright yellow is still available. $128 @ Oak.
Cool Hunting did a little profile on Maxx and Unicorn a while back. Read it here.
