Gifting Season

With graduations, weddings, baby showers, housewarmings, and more birthdays than I can count, this summer is rife with gift-giving opportunities. If you're in the same boat, here are some options that won't break the bank.

I really can't believe these lovely colored wobble glasses designed by Monica Lubkowska Jonas are only $40 for a set of 4. Available in either warm (shown) or cool palettes, they sit slightly off-center and wobble gently but won't spill a drop. Plus, they're dishwasher and microwave safe.

The new home of a quirky friend merits some fun housewares. Ikuko Nakazawa's Chat Plates, shaped like conversation bubbles from Japanese comics, are sure to make a meal more interesting. $45 for a set of three, which includes a small, medium, and large plate.
This beautiful, colorful mobile designed by Ole Flensted in the 70's is a children's classic. Elephant Party Mobile, $30.

This grown-up dopp kit makes for a great gift for a stylish guy in your life. Woven Vinyl Dopp Kit designed by Sandy Chilewich, $65.

For the world traveler, this compact set of plugs will be much appreciated. It comes with five adaptors that work for Europe, the UK, North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan. $15.
