Here's some linkage to more photos from the DVF event. I met a lot of wonderful bloggers, and their work has inspired me to embark on a quest to upgrade The Shoptometrist, because their glossy, professional blogs make my bare-bones, default Blogger template look pathetically amateurish. Perhaps it should stay that way? I'm open to suggestions, and if anyone has any site design talents, please get in touch.
One of the highlights of the meetup was chatting with Kimmie about her blogs, See Pretty Things and the Kitten Lounge (how she manages to keep up with both, I cannot begin to fathom). The former focuses on accessories, while the latter is more of a lifestyle blog that encompasses fashion, music, dining, and events around town. You can see her photos from the shoot here.
I got to meet Daniel and Rebecca of Fashion Indie, who styled three editorial-worthy looks on the models, and Claire from The Fashion Bomb, who chose to model her own picks. I also met the ladies behind Shoe Blog and The Clothes-Pin, who strutted their stuff in dresses of their choice.
Beauty blog Eyeshadow Government chose to style two different looks on one of our models, and Fops and Dandies was most creative, styling two whimsical looks on an adorable friend by incorporating her own accessories, like bright turquoise tights and unique headpieces. The Daily Obsession, Shopalicious, and She Finds. seemed to be having a ball, working the camera in their chosen outfits.
