Sleepless (Arabian) Nights

The first stories my father ever told me as a child were from the Tales from the Arabian Nights. While shopping in London last month, I stumbled across the Illustrated Fairy Tales from 1001 Nights and fell in love with it all over again. With designs by contemporary artists to accompany eight of the popular tales, this version makes for a great bedtime storybook for grown-ups. It was a little over $100 there, but I'm glad I waited til I was back stateside and comparison-shopped online, because I was able to get it for $31.92 @ Amazon.
