Nostalgic for Denim Jackets

Denim jackets were all the rage during my childhood. On the telly, they were worn by every teen queen from the halls of Bayside High to the Peach Pit on 90210 (which my Pakistani mother called "Ninety-two-one-o." I was forbidden to watch). My pride and joy was the stonewashed version I wore, circa late 80's/early 90's.

After experiencing a brief comeback during college, denim jackets are but a faded memory, buried somewhere in the back of my mind (and closet). Such was their fate until I discovered this version by Alexander Wang, rendered of-the-moment with an almost-black wash, a slim, shirt-like fit, and bracelet-length sleeves.
