I haven't bought a simple evening shoe in a while. It's also been ages since I bought a black shoe, preferring instead to pluck a vivid color from my assortment of crazy footwear, which includes electric hues, purple boots, stud detailing, sky-high heels, and Pucci prints. However, I've just stumbled across one that may call for a change in policy.
Pedro Garcia Kaira Satin Platform Pump, $395. Classic enough to wear with formal ensembles (not that I have many occasions to don evening gowns), but modern enough to wear for a night out on the town with friends.
