A Spiewak coat is pretty tough to beat. If it's the make of choice for Iditarod sledders and Arctic oil riggers, chances are it's probably tough enough to handle a New York winter. What's more, the 105-year-old brand manages to marry its superior warmth and protection with modern, understated (but not boring) style, as exemplified in the Carson field jacket. I love the grey-olive hue.
