Slim Pickings

Due to a dearth of stylish Spring offerings for men, I really haven't had much to blog about lately in the menswear department, which you've undoubtedly noticed. What I've seen for Spring thus far doesn't exactly thrill me, and the most I can muster as I page through the latest lookbooks is halfhearted bookmarking here and there. I'll revisit one later, and my lukewarm feelings for it invariably make me hesitant to blog it, as I've always upheld a policy of posting only what I love. In this barren wasteland, I found exactly two shirts that struck my fancy this week.

I like that this button-down is casually rumpled, but still retains an air of refinement. I think you should wear it out and get elegantly wasted. It should come home the next morning with a few splashes of wine and the scent of a girl's perfume to suggest a night of carousing. Bucky shirt by Bureau, $165 @ Context.

You know how obsessed I am with all things plaid. Except now that it's Spring (any day now, really), I think you should trade in your lumberjack flannels for a lighter, brighter sort. This is a perfect example of what I mean. Brentwood Plaid Military Shirt by Shades of Greige, $84 @ Context.

  1. I might steer clear of the brokeback mountain plaid, but great pick on the bucky shirt. I'm trying to find a fitted version, maybe you know of a place. MT
