Why have I never thought of it before? Probably because the idea seems to carry with it the unsavory prospect of added girth around the hips and thighs. Who but the model-thin could get away with wearing a chubby mini without fear of appearing pear-like? However, this streamlined, ultrafine knit number by Mara Hoffman has me casting those worries aside. I'm game for its busy pattern of diamonds and black/white/purple color scheme (which is somewhat reminiscent of the Vena Cava Mandinka dress I posted a while back).
